Other notes:This seal shows the so-called 'unicorn' with an inscription above. The unicorn is shown in the common position facing left on the seal. Below its head is the trough-like symbol, found on most seals. This symbol is common on seals like this, but we still do not know what object it represents.
The animal on this seal is often called the 'unicorn'. Scholars disagree about whether this single-horned animal actually existed, or whether the animal on the seal actually had two horns but was shown in profile. Others believe it represents a mythological creature.
